Policy Statement
The Dharmaputra Medical Law Journal (DMLJ) actively supports and encourages self-archiving by authors at every stage of the publication process. DMLJ believes that maximising the availability of research is inseparable from the journal's Diamond Open Access mission.
Because DMLJ publishes under Diamond Open Access with CC BY 4.0, all versions of a manuscript — submitted, accepted, and published — may be shared and deposited immediately, without restriction. There is zero embargo period of any kind.
Preprint Policy
Pre-Submission Preprints
Authors may post a preprint of their manuscript on arXiv, SSRN, OSF Preprints, Garuda, or any recognised preprint server before or during submission to DMLJ. This does not preclude publication.
Disclosure Required
Authors who have posted a preprint must disclose the preprint DOI or URL in the cover letter submitted to DMLJ. Failure to disclose a preprint may be treated as undisclosed prior submission.
Post-Publication Update
After publication, authors are encouraged to update preprint listings with the final DOI link and citation, and to add a note that the definitive version has been published in DMLJ.
