Research involving human participants must comply with the Declaration of Helsinki and obtain approval from an accredited ethics committee (KEPK or equivalent). Ethics committee name and approval number must be stated in the Methods section.

Written informed consent must be obtained from patients or legal guardians for case reports and studies involving patient data. Case reports must be anonymized unless the subject provides explicit written consent to be identified.

All authors must disclose any financial, institutional, or personal relationships that could influence the research. If none exist, a statement declaring "No conflict of interest" must be included. Per ICMJE requirements.

Authorship must meet all four ICMJE criteria: (1) substantial contribution to conception or design, (2) drafting or revising the work, (3) final approval, and (4) accountability for all aspects. Use CRediT taxonomy to specify each author's role.

Authors may use AI tools to assist with: grammar and language editing, spelling and syntax improvement, literature search assistance, formatting references, translating portions of the manuscript. These uses must be disclosed.

Authors must not use AI tools to: generate the core intellectual content, conduct or fabricate legal analysis, produce data or citations, write the abstract, or generate conclusions. Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, and integrity of all content.

Required Disclosure Statement

"The authors used [Tool Name, e.g., ChatGPT-4 by OpenAI] for [specific purpose, e.g., grammar checking and language editing of the final manuscript]. The authors reviewed and take full responsibility for all content. No AI tool was used for data generation, legal analysis, or intellectual content creation."

Cover Letter must include: title and manuscript type, statement of originality (not under review elsewhere), brief statement of significance, corresponding author contact, and declaration of any funding sources.

Authors retain copyright of their work. Upon acceptance, authors grant JDHK a license to publish under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0). This allows anyone to share and adapt the work, provided appropriate credit is given.

JDHK is committed to open access and does not charge submission fees. Article processing charges, if applicable, will be disclosed transparently at the time of acceptance. Authors from low-income institutions may apply for a waiver.
